Swim Camp 2011 at Millfield School

Six PB swimmers attended a 4-day swim camp at Millfield School this summer where they were coached, tutored and entertained in the top-class facilities.  Read their story here.

County Qualifying Times Published

Hertfordshire ASA has published the qualifying times for next year’s Hertfordshire County Swimming Championships which will be of interest to those PBSC swimmers that have aspirations to compete in this prestigious event. It is important that all PBSC Swimmers note that these qualifying times must be achieved at a licensed meet in the period between May 1st 2011 and the closing date for entries, which is Friday 17th February 2012.  Age is determined as age on 25th March 2012. 

Please Note: Beating CQT's is an achievement in itself.  In 2011 the Herts ASA considered limiting the number of swimmers entered by "raising the bar" just before the championships.  This was because of the large number of qualifying swimmers.  Until they know the numbers for 2012 championships we must assume that anyone reaching a CQT will be eligible to swim.  In 2011 they chose to let all qualifiers swim.  We will not know the equivalent decision until much nearer the date.  The moral of this tale is:- If you really want to swim in the County Championships then keep training and beat the CQT by a good margin!
