Club Championships
Each year in September and October we hold our Club Championships, the aim is to get every swimmer in the club to compete in as many events as possible and to give younger swimmers the opportunity to compete. There are separate events for boys and girls and the events vary with age.
Medals are awarded to the winners top three in each event (around 350 medals each year) and there are certificates for all participants. These are presented at our annual "Presentation Party" in October / November.
The championships are held over four sessions in September / October 2009 :-

We use the standard entry card system used in most open meets so you cannot just turn up on the day and swim. Closing date for entries is Friday 11th September.
Events are free to enter but there will be an entry fee for spectators (children free) for sessions 2, 3 and 4 (£1 for sessions 2 & 3 / £2 for session 4). This is necessary due to the costs of pool hire and medals, running these galas amounts to over £1,000.
