Peanuts Trial - Queenswood Monday 12th January 2009
There will be a time trial for swimmers aged 8 to 12 years (those born in 1996 to 2000), 25m races will be held on all four strokes, in the order free, back, breast fly.  Swimmers do not have to do all four but are encouraged to attempt them all.  Swimmers should be ready to swim at 6.00pm, those who normally train at Queenswood on Mondays (Squad 4 and 5) who are not eligible to compete may train at Furzefield at 6.15pm instead, Masters training at Queenswood will be as normal at 8.00pm
Peanuts is an annual league competition between Hertfordshire clubs for younger swimmers.  It started in 1979 and has grown to 33 teams in three divisions.  This year we have two teams in division 1 and 3.  It is held over three rounds on three Saturday evenings between April and July.
Tape Trophy - Saturday 24th January 2009
To give some of our younger swimmers gala experience the club is running a team gala for 8 to 12 year olds at Furzefield on the evening of Saturday 24th January against some other local clubs.  The club intends to enter two teams and the programme is based on the Peanuts League Division 2 format
